Hisense Compressor Not Starting
A compressor that won't start often has a failed start relay — far cheaper than a new compressor. We test the relay, capacitor and overload before recommending replacement.
Common causes
- Start relay / PTC failure
- Run capacitor weak
- Overload protector tripped
- Control board not energising
- Internal mechanical failure
Quick checks you can do
- Listen for a clicking sound
- Check the unit is powered
- Note if it tries to start
- Feel compressor temperature
When to call a technician
- Clicking repeatedly
- Compressor cold & silent
- Tripping the power
- No cooling at all
